Bandelier students learning about the Rio Grande through a model

Each year, one of our BEMP schools – Bandelier Elementary School in the Nob Hill area of Albuquerque – holds a fundraising event each spring to raise money for our Art-in-the-School program. On Friday, March 31st at 6:00pm, Bandelier will host the Chair-a-Tea, featuring chairs/furniture designed by the students. Under the guidance of Ms. Stephanie Becker, the students in Ms. Susan Fuller’s class painted a BEMP-themed chair. The students were thrilled to brainstorm ideas connected to all the things they had learned over the course of the year through the BEMP lessons in the classroom and in the bosque. BEMP is honored to have been able to work with these fantastic artists and we hope you can all make it over to Bandelier for the Chair-a-Tea. Here is more information about the live auction, desserts, tea, and fun mingling to take place on March 31st!

See you all there!
