FREE PBS Documentary Screening – The Crowd and the Cloud – at Bosque School

Join BEMP, Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge, and New Mexico PBS at Bosque School on Tuesday April 25 for a special screening of The Crowd and The Cloud – Citizens4earth. The Crowd and the Cloud is a four-part docu-series about citizen science projects around the globe. Episode 4, Citizens4earth, highlights the work of citizen scientists and the technology they use.

Citizen science projects at Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge, a focal site for the Rio Grande Phenology Trail are featured in this episode. Refuge Manage Jennifer Owen-White, EarthForce program coordinator Julia Bernal, and Valle de Oro volunteers will be at the screening to help tell the story of why monitoring the phenology of Rio Grande cottonwoods and Siberian elm is important for the management of the refuge.
